Perhaps you've all seen the shit splattered all over the news last week about how everyone--including the FDA--was wrong about the mercury danger in seafood and that "scientists" and "scientific" studies have shown that pregnant women should eat all the seafood they can stuff in their fat pregnant mouths. These "studies" that are being pimped by major news sources including The Washington Post and CNN are making it seem that the pregnant should be eating fish whenever they aren't sleeping or vomiting. The reason? Oh, the mercury danger is a bunch of alarmist environmentalist hype they say. They also say that since anthropologists have hypothesized that the human brain evolved larger than that of the rest of the Apes because of an ancestral diet composed of fish, that pregnant women should eat fish because it will make their babies smarter. Is this true? Who knows. What is true is that this information was dumped to the press last week by lobbying firms working for the seafood industry.

Big Tuna is lying to you. The FDA is in the pocket of big business anyway--witness how dangerous drugs are allowed into the market and contaminated meat and produce are making people sick in all 50 states. If the same regulatory agency says that there is mercury in fish, YOU BEST BELIEVE IT, because they don't issue warnings often or lightly. If they are issuing a mercury warning, rest assured there is a mercury danger that they cant legally deny.
