Looking at this makes me want to puke. I feel torn in my brain. What is it about this story that makes me want to vomit, but yet I still eat hamburgers and stuff. Perhaps it is because they target babies, and clubbing is inhumane? I'm not sure, but whatever it is, I feel sad.

Unfortunately, that is why we have to write posts like this...it is to show good people that there are bad things in the world and maybe nudge them into action.

I am not going to get into the merits of a vegetarian diet, but I will say this...

People should feel sad for the Seals because they are WILDLIFE. Cows, Pigs, ect. while they do feel pain, they are born and raised doomed for food. Mass slaughter of wildlife like seal is inherently and objectively objectionable to all thinking people.

Thanks for the comments, Sarah.

you guys are retarded or something seal oil has superior omega 3. It has long been known to be the preferred oil to ingest. Harvesting seals is no different than hunting deer or moose or something. If you want to talk about inhumane killing of animals go check out your local slaughter house.

Yeah we are retarded because we don't endorse the gobbling of quack medicines.

There are plenty of good sources of omega 3 that don't involve bludgeoning wildlife to death. There are also plenty of vegetable sources of omega 3 that are readily available, but if you live in some Tundra somewhere, drinking moonshine, polishing your .50 caliber rifle, and praying for your government handouts, drinking the rendered glands of pinnipeds may seem like an okay thing to do.

Distinguishing wildlife animals from 'domesticated animals' in terms of worse death or being *more* immoral to kill them is false. All animals feel pain and wish to live. 10 billion are killed for food each year and their entire farmed lives are miserable.Even the very few that get to live some kind of life are betrayed and killed. Their is no true 'humane' slaughter. These seals got to live a normal life at least, but they nor any other animal deserve to die for our taste buds/exploitation. We don't need to do this to live healthy lives.
