This is China!!!! Oh Shit, This is Tampa?

China has long been known as the adventurous cuisine wildlife raping capital of the world. But adventurous eaters stupid assholes want to support the rape of wildlife a little bit closer to home they can do it at Spoto's. The Spoto's Steak Joint II, in Dunedin, Florida is featuring Lion meat it got from a Lion farm in South Africa.
There is little doubt that the patrons of the restaurant will have little idea that by ordering lion meat they are supporting one of the most vicious and destructive industries in the world. Their money will go back along the commercial food chain until it reaches the canned lion breeder in South Africa, enriching him and encouraging his grisly trade. South Africa is the world capital of canned lion breeding and hunting; captive predators, often wild caught, are reared under cruel conditions and then shot for sport, often with bow and arrow. Packs of dogs are sometimes used to force tame, hand reared lions up trees so that bow hunters can have fun shooting arrows into their helpless victim.

But, hey it's all good everyone, Jimmy Stewart, Chef/Owner of Spoto's wrote a letter to the local media saying that he didn't mean to offend anyone. He is still going to continue to serve up Lion to his decadent and brain damaged customers though. Hey Jimmy, you suck--no offense!

Before those of you North of the Mason-Dixon start looking down at Floridians, look in your own back yard. The South Philadelphia Tap Room recently had to take Lion meat in puff pastry off their menu due to the negative publicity. Chef Michael Zulli, a former vegetarian, claims that the Lion meat came from a place called Fallows Farm, an African Cat farm in Illinois and a purveyor named Lerae Derr. The funny thing is Fallows Farm or Lerae Derr don't really exist. For fun try putting them into the internet anagram machine to see if they spell out something hoaxy. If the Lion meat did not come from Illinois, it must have come from either poachers in Africa, or the same place that Spoto's gets their Lion meat...unless, and let's hope this is the case--The South Philly Tap Room was selling fake Lion meat in order to bilk yuppies à la The Freshman.

Oh, and just to prove that China is still the wildlife raping capitol of the world. Here is a sweet picture of one of the food booths in Beijing outside the Olympic Village.
And for some added evil, the Starfish are actually deep fried in Shark oil!
Think we are heavy handed with our animal politics. Try--Ye Olde Pompous Vegan. They are hilarious.
Thanks to Creamy for the Chinese "Food" pic,

In typical vegan fashion, he lacks the world-view necessary to grasp the concept that no one finds his dietary habits as mind-blowingly fascinating as he does.
He probably beats off in the mirror too.
He could call himself Ye Olde Ignorant Twaty Vegan.
I find your comments about beating off in front of a mirror extremely homophobic.

So - she has to get the Lion Meat SOMEWHERE. But I can't find ANYTHING of Fallow's Farm! And - if she is NOT supposed to sell meat - but the Philly Restaurant called her the "Purveyor" that means she SOLD the meat to them. Something is DEFINETLY not right here!
