Shark on Shark Violence
Jams within Jams.
I really can't stand this sort of thing. Can't we all just get along? Apparently not when the coast of Queensland is festooned with drumlines and Shark nets that kill every bit of awesomeness they come in contact with. In all likelihood, the pictured 10-foot White Shark would have never been jammed by the unpictured 20-foot White Shark if it hadn't been caught on a drumline. How can a Shark get 20 feet long? By being too smart to get caught on drumlines or Shark nets. The 10-foot White Shark caught on the drumline posed no real danger to Aussie bathers. The 20-footer? Not a particular threat either. Still, there is a big difference between a 10-foot non-threat and a 20-foot non-threat. This is just more evidence that Shark nets and drumlines are bullshit that unnecessarily threaten wildlife. If you swim in the ocean, you know the risks. Deal.
Oh, and watch:
Holy poop! A Shark post. And it has only been almost 2 months! Thanks to Luke Sorensen for keeping the faith.
