Sharky,

At the risk of appearing stupid (it wouldn't be the first time) what is the absurdity of the comment? I live in Florida and have never heard of multiple sharks attacking one person around here. I suspect that the attack was actually committed by one shark (probably a bull), but there happened to be many sharks in the area as there often are this time of year, so the attack was attributed to multiple sharks. Anyways, please fill me in on the absurdity.

The only absurdity is in the combination of the first half of the comment with the other. Sorry to be vague. If each half of the comment was part of a separate quote, they would not be absurd at all. What is absurd is the non sequitur.

As to the single Bull Shark hypothesis with other Sharks in the area--I agree with you %100.

Sharky,

Thanks for hanging in there with Zinn and Salinger gone. I thought of you immediately when I heard the story about the kite-skier. Our local fishwrap says that it was "a species of requiem shark"....

Hey Byron,

It is always good to see you lurking. We are pretty sure it was a Bull Shark...a single Bull Shark, with maybe a few others of indeterminate species circling, attracted by the blood and action.

Requiem pretty much means Bull or Tiger...or a movie with an unfortunate foreign object scene about heroin addicts in Coney Island.

It's Me, Sharky!
