Why are all these Whales Dying in the First Place?
Note to California: Don't Bury Dead Whales at Popular Surf Spots...pt 2.
Is it Sonar from military operations? Is it domoic acid released by algal blooms caused by Global Warming? Perhaps and perhaps, but necropies by the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History on the latest 3 dead Blue Whales that have washed on shore in California have all showed evidence of trauma caused by ship strikes. Isn't it nice that no ships have reported striking Whales recently? Either these ships are so big that they don't feel it when they strike a 70-foot, 175-ton Whale, or more likely they either don't care are don't want to deal with the inconvenience.

This is what a ship does when it hits a Whale's fluke.
What is disconcerting about these three dead Blue Whales is that the last known stranded Blue Whale in California was in August of 1996. In response, the NOAA has filed a formal request with the coast guard asking them to restrict the speed of vessels in shipping lanes to 10 knots in order to minimize the potential of Whale strikes.

This is what a ship does to a Whale's body.
And this is what shameless consumerism does to an icon of Latin American populism:

Che Magazine: The Maxim of Belgian/Dutch Men's "Journalism."
Happy Che Day, almost! October 9 is the 40th anniversary of the CIA assassination of Ernesto "Che" Guevara in Bolivia.

CIA Handiwork: One Dead Che.
God forbid anyone challenge American business interests.
Keep on dreaming of a better world...losers,
